A moment is one of the most fragile things in the world. So much work goes into a moment. The right song, at the right time, with the right people – a wonderful moment of joy. In a split second you’re faced with a decision and you make the wrong choice – that moment and many moments after are filled with tears and heartbreak.
A moment is so fragile. It’s one tiny spot in the middle of a length of time too vast to keep track of. It’s a blink of an eye, a missed turn, a picture, or maybe the moment right before your lips meet mine and our eyes lock. And in those eyes I witness not just a moment, but a lifetime of moments spent with you.
A life consists of moments. They are stacked precariously towards the stars, seeming as though the slightest breeze could sent them all crashing to the ground like a lamp knocked over by an excited pet. The only thing that will be left is broken pieces and memories of when those moments were whole, and a place to start the stack over again.
Moments are fragile. Please take care of them.
